Dos

  • Do provide for proper ventilation in classrooms.
  • Keep the bathrooms clean and wash them with disinfectant often.
  • Get rid of stagnant puddles of water around school premises.
  • Be a little lenient with rules and regulations regarding leave for children and staff members.
  • Provide children with clean masks or ensure each child wears one.
  • Monitor health of students and staff closely.
  • Do have a doctor on call available to visit the school in case a child is not feeling well or for an emergency.
  • Do maintain emergency numbers for ambulances, etc.
  • Ensure proper medical test reports are obtained from students / staff who have resumed school after a brief illness.

Don’ts

  • Do not allow sick children or staff members to enter building premises.
  • Do not entertain any demands of running the school if significant number of children are falling ill.
  • Do not leave litter lying around the premise.
  • Do not conduct assemblies in school if it means unnecessary crowding.
  • Do not allow hawkers to sell their wares (especially ice creams, golas, bhel puri, chana, fruits, etc) anywhere near the school.
