About Us
The Swine Flu pandemic in June 2009 led to widespread panic in Pune. Schools, colleges, shopping malls, theatres and offices shut down. The ‘Fear Factor’ that prevailed then prompted Bipin to think about setting up a web site which would address basic FAQs that people had.
The support received from various people in the medical and alternative healing fields was heart warming and encouraging. Special mention needs to be made here of Dr Sarda ( President of the Indian Medical Assosciation – Pune Chapter) and his team, as also Dr BKS Iyengar, the doyen of Yoga as the world knows it today. Several others from the fields of Medicine, Unani, Ayurveda and Homeopathy contributed thoughts and content. Information has also been sourced from data and information released by WHO, US CDC, MOHFW – India website and various other sources.TipsonFlu acknowedges all information contributions and is grateful to them for the support in making the website meaningful and useful for the users. Though TipsonFlu has made all attempts to acknowledge information contributions directly at various places on the website, some sources may have been inadvertently left out. TipsonFlu acknowledges all such content sources too.
TipsonFlu welcomes contributions and suggestions from members of the health care industry, managements of schools, colleges and business organisations which could help prepare the general public combat the Swine Flu pandemic better.
